DIRECT BY=MAIL SERVICE
FOR FALL ADVERTISERS
Standard Pneumatic Action Co., New York, Plans
Extensive Campaign for Benefit of Trade.
The Standard Pneumatic Action Co., of New York,
has contracted for 600,000 ''Direct-by-Mail" adver-
tising folders that they will distribute among the
dealers for their fall advertising campaigns. One
hundred of each set of these folders shall be sent
to each dealer free of charge.
The folders are to be different each month, will
have the character suitable to the season. The Sep-
tember folder shall treat on the educational value of
music; especially where children are concerned. The
October folder will feature a week-end party, and
pictures the playerpiano as the ideal instrument for
dancing and singing. The November folder to fol-
low describes the Thanksgiving Day reunion. This
especially appeals to the older folks. The Decem-
ber folders, of course, illustrate the playerpiano in
the home on Christmas morning, and pictures the
joy that it will bring on Christmas Day, and in fact,
every other day in the year.
After having seen samples of the four folders, one
large Philadelphia piano dealer exclaimed: "Book
by order for 10,000 a month. These folders are the
most snappy advertising material that 1 have ever
seen."
This series of four folders contains an advertising
appeal for everyone. The copy is written in the
form of a letter in a style very easily read, which
makes the folders extremely interesting. The sub-
sequent letters are written along the same lines, and
as they progress, interest is kindled. In short, they
are the most convincing specimens of advertising
that have yet been issued to the piano trade. For
further information about these mailing folders,
write direct to the Standard Pneumatic Action Com-
pany, New York.

The grand piano continues to make steady strides
in popular favor, judging from the reports of lead-
