Club. The annual meeting of the club will be held
May 11.
The Duke Phonograph Corporation, St. Nicholas
avenue and 181st street, New York, will open with
a line of Grafonolas about June 1. The officers of
the company are: president, Edward Greenberg;
vice president, Hugo Gross; treasurer, Harry Schoen
and secretary, Harry Greenberg.
The Crane's Music Store, Bowling Green, O., has
purchased the Cheney phonographs, sheet music,
record stock and other musical supplies from H. G.
Harvey, who recently sold his place of business on
\ T orth Main street.
The Texas-Oklahoma Phonograph Co., Dallas,
Tex., has purchased the building at 1513-15 Elnu
street, occupied by the Paint and Paper Co., for
$175,000.
Wier, Hamilton, who for the past several years
have conducted the Victor: talking machine agency
in Sidney, Nebr., disposed of it last week to F. O.
Burgess, who is at present in charge of the Ross P.
Curtice piano branch store there. .
• Eugene A. \Vidman, president of the Pathe Freres
Phonograph Co., returned last, week from a trip
abroad. He received an enthusiastic welcome at the
plant in Brooklyn, N. Y.
An extensive summer advertising campaign is
;unong the plans of the Columbia Graphophone Co.
George Hopkins, general sales manager of the
Columbia Graphophone Co., has been nominated
for the presidency of the New York Advertising
Charles Emdee, Catskill, N. Y., is remodeling the
interior of his piano store on Main street. Mr.
Emdee plans to install several booths where phono-
graph records may be heard to best advantage by
record buyers.
NEW VICTOR SINGER.
Gabriella Besanzoni, reputed to be the greatest
mezzo-contralto of Italy, has joined the staff of
Victor artists and will be heard this month in a
record presentation at the famous "Habanera," from
"Carmen." Werrenrath, Mischa Elman, Galli-
Curci, Edward Johnson, Hans Kindler and Mable
Garrison are among the other famous artists who
give interpretations for May.
PORTLAND CONCERN QUITS.
Owing to disagreements with Eastern concerns,
which caused the cancellation of contracts, the Pacific
Accessory & Supply Co. has gone out of business.
C. D, Wood, manager of t ; h.e company, is now man-
ager of the Cremona Ph&frigriipti Cb.,'whose fac-
tory is in Portland.

NEW SEATTLE MANAGER.
L. C. Ackley has been appointed manager of the
Seattle branch of the Columbia Graphophone Co.
He was formerly a member of the sales organization
of the Los Angeles branch. Mr. Ackley succeeds
Frank Doria, who resigned.
William Wallace Miller, 25 years old, employed
by the Weber Piano Company in New York, died
last week of pneumonia.
