F
or the first time in several
years the Amusement Expo
International will not be held
in Las Vegas. Instead, the expo
has moved to The Big D. From March
14-16, operators and vendors from
all over the coin-op industry will be
congregating at the Kay Bailey Hutchi-
son Convention Center, Dallas, formal-
ly known as the Dallas Convention
Center. Along with seeing all the new
products being shown at this years
expo, visitors can also do plenty of fun
things around Dallas.

CONVENTION CENTER
The convention center offers so
much to visitors. The facility has two
million total square feet, one million

square feet for exhibit space, 88 meet-
ing rooms, and more. As for conve-
nience, the center is only 30 minutes
from Dallas/Fort Worth International
(DFW) airport, seven miles from Dal-
las Love Field (DAL) airport, has an
onsite DART rail station with covered
access to the convention center, and
free shuttle bus service (DART D-Link,
Route 722) to Downtown, Arts Dis-
trict, Uptown, The Cedars, Bishop Arts
District, Victory Park, and the West
End.
SHERATON DALLAS HOTEL
The hosting hotel is about a mile
from the convention center. The down-
town hotel is located in the Arts and
Entertainment District and offers 70
meeting rooms and over 230,000

square-feet of meeting space. There
are 38 floors, 1,840 rooms, and 222
suites.
As for dinning, the hotel offers
three restaurants:The Kitchen Table,
the Draft Media Sports Bar, and Peet’s

ATTRACTIONS
Reunion Tower: Enjoy the view of
Dallas from 470 feet in the air at the
GeO-Deck. Experience the 360-degree
view, high-definition zoom cameras,
interactive touch screens, telescopes,
and more. If you wish for a casual din-
ing experience, stop by the Cloud Nine
Cafe and enjoy a revolving view. For
fine dining, stop by the Five Sixty atop
Reunion Tower, which features floor-
