COIN-OP NEWS
AMOA continues
Operation Chokepoint
efforts
From its Off-the-Top newsletter, the Amusement and
Music Operators Association announced that it continues to
work with its legislative counsel, Dentons, in Washington,
D.C., on the next steps in educating legislators on the banking
issues affecting AMOA members, like Operation Chokepoint.
Members can expect to see updates to the Legislative
Advocacy section of the AMOA website to include important
steps to take should members experience abrupt account
closures.
In addition, the AMOA will be providing talking points
and encouraging members to call legislators in their home
states.
Operation Chokepoint addresses the U.S. government’s
sudden closings of certain bank accounts, which have affect-
ed some ATM operators, in an attempt to lull illegal activities.

QubicaAMF Worldwide has signed a contract to be the
bowling equipment provider for River City Roll, the new
upscale bowling facility to be built in the Scott’s Addition
area of Richmond, Va.
Former investment banker and Richmond local Rob Long
is leading a team that includes former Jefferson Hotel restau-
rant director Ben Eubanks. The developers broke ground on
the $5 million facility in May, which is expected to open in
early 2018.
“Given the renewed activity in the city of Richmond and
entertainment spending on the rise, it all just made sense,”
said Long. “We think bowling is the perfect fit, and will be
the anchor for a very successful entertainment option in Cen-
tral Virginia.”
River City Roll will house 20-lanes of bowling, featuring
QubicaAMF’s BES X Bowler Entertainment System, XLi
EDGE Pinspotters, and SPL Select Lanes.
Long and his team plan to theme each lane around well-
known Richmond streets, offer high-end food and drinks
combined with outside seating options, and more. Addition-
ally, River City Roll will include private event spaces and
lanes that can be sectioned off for large parties and corporate
events.
“I would like to congratulate Rob and his investors,” said
Jay Buhl, senior vice president and general manager for
QubicaAMF Worldwide. This is an exciting project. We are
thrilled to be able to showcase our latest products in a local
venue and work with a local investor to help them bring
their project to life.”

Stern Pinball has brought back its popular AC/DC Pro
and Premium pinball machines. Originally debuting in 2012,
the AC/DC pinball machine hon-
ors the legendary rock and roll
band.
The game features 12 classic
AC/DC hits including “Back in
Black,” “Highway to Hell,” and
“You Shook Me All Night Long.”
Other game features include two
separate ramps, a lower playfield,
a ball-shooting cannon, eight drop
targets, and more. Players can also
join the party with a TNT detona-
tor and the Devil’s Jukebox.
This tribute to one of rock
and roll’s most memorable bands
pushes the auditory limits with its sound, style, and infectious
riffs. The AC/DC Pro features technological upgrades with all
LED lighting and a swinging bell.
“The demand for the AC/DC machine was fantastic,” said
Gary Stern, founder and CEO of Stern Pinball. “Fans were
clamoring to order the machine after we sold out.”
