I am very upset to see this kind of ad in your magazine! I would not have a problem if the lady was dressed in a bikini or short-shorts and midriff top. When you are exhibiting at a trade show and using models in the booth, they have to be dressed appropriately. This lady in the ad is not! I have been in the amusement business with my husband Frank for the past 12-13 years. We get a bad rap sometimes when people don't know what the amusement business is all about. Some think we are connected with the Mafia and do not understand what we actually stand for. We are all working hard to maintain a class to our wonderful industry. I do not take issue with having women advertise a product, but I do take issue with the nature of the advertisement on page 49, which lacks taste and presents our industry negatively. Our industry has finally gained the public 's respect and attention through its appeal to wholesome family values . As stated in Valerie Cognevich's editorial in that same issue , "We've been lucky to be a part of such a vital, interesting industry."
