Modest at tne start, out with a grand vision of the future, Play Meter first appeared on
the scene in December 1974. Then, as now, the magazine has chronicled all the ad-
vances and industry achievements over the last 15 years. Travel down memory lane
with us.
" Coinman Revisited" would be an appropriate title for our second interview with in-
dustry veteran Mawdsley, who was our very first coin man interview in December 1974.
Find out if his views of the industry have changed in 15 years and which issues he con-
siders of utmost importance today.
Occupying the chair of a game reviewer can be hazardous to your health, as affirmed
by both Roger "Critic's Corner" Sharpe and Frank "The Crank" Seninsky. Although
the early days were fraught with tension, both men are now recognized for their in-
tense devotion to the industry and its betterment.

We pondered over what memorable event we could use to grace our cover on this special issue. We soon realized
that the last 15 years has seen too many unforgettable occasions to choose but one. In the end we voted for simplicity,
yet elegance , to mark our 15th anniversary as the industry's premier trade publication . A toast to the next 15 years!
