Route- management
software
Southland Associates of Belmont,
Calif., has announced the availability
of Easy! Route , a software package for
amusement operators to computerize
route organization, collection security,
and administration.
Under development and field
tested for more than three years,
Easy! Route provides 15 reports that
track locations and games, monitor
collection and cash shortages, deter·
mine trends , and help with collection
and rotation schedules.
Before a scheduled collection, the
system prints a collection sheet for
each location showing all games and
the date of last collection, including
meter readings. The system also
prints pick-up and delivery sheets to
document game movement.
Revenue , administrative , and
security controls are built-in, as is a
marketing data base that can help
attract investors, bankers, and poten-
tial route buyers.
Priced at $1 ,295 , Easy! Route
includes all programs, a reference ·
manual , and an introductory tutorial
to help users learn the system. The
system operates on most microcom-
puters, including the IBM PC and AT.

alternating counting and timing
cycles.
The Series 7915 is compact and
inexpensive. Automated control is
based on a preset time duration in
conjunction with a preset count of
cycles, pieces, units of length, etc .
Desired preset values can be pro-
grammed into the 7915's memory. 1
The 7915 controllers weigh 10.2
oz. and are housed in a plastic easel
that fits in a standard 50-millimeter-by-
50-millimeter panel cutout. All stan-
dart models accept 115 Vac/ 230 Vacj
50/ 60Hz operating power. Solid-state
CMOS circuitry is used for high relia-
bility and immunity from the effects o
electrical noise.
Front-panel push buttons permi~
simple entry and review of presen
count and time limits as well as
process data. Counting models
incorporate a prescaler factor that
simplifies calibration of input signals to
display the correct engineering unit .

Atari Games Corp. is offering a
monitor-shield kit for its Gauntlet
video game.
The kit includes tinted plexiglas,
sealant-foam tape, six screws, and
spacers for mounting the shield on the'
existing leak-proof monitor bezel.
According to Peter Takaichi, Atari
director of design services, the exist-
ing exposed monitor and bezel are
"reasonably shatter-proof and water-
tight. Our safety tests have proved
this beyond doubt."
Atari designed the monitor-shield
kit in response to requests from oper-
ators concerned about vandalism in
unsupervised locations. The kit is
available from Atari distributors.

Display characters are 9.1 millimeters
high and can be read from up to 15 feet
away.
The Flip family high-resolution six-
line by 40-character display, model
28400 -99 , is for applications that
require enhanced component reliabil-
ity. T he module uses MIL-qualified
components and has an extended
operating temperature range of minus
40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius . It is
12.5 inc hes wide, 6.5 inches high, and
1.56 inches deep . Characters are 5.05
