Purple Pianos?
"Purple pianos used to be like pur-
ple cows—something you'd never see.
But now you can actually buy a pi-
ano that's purple—or pink. blue, green,
red and any other color you like.
You can even get a piano done in a
dashing two-tone color ensemble.
It's all part of a new idea launched
by a venerable New York piano firm—
Hardman, Peck & Company . . . So
the company offered to custom-paint its
little "minipiano"' spinets in any color."

The other illustration was taken
when Jack McDermott, Pacific Coast
representative of the Gulbransen Co.
was visiting with Mr. Daniels and Mr.
Miller.
"I believe", said Mr. McDermott this
is the most distinctive music store in
the country, but if not, I am sure it
ranks number one in California. Lo-
cated in the heart of Berkeley near the
campus of University of California, the
store was established in 1906 and is
presently owned by Lyle Daniels and
Caro Miller. Since the affiliation of the
present partners, a piano department
was installed making this distinctive
music store complete in every respect."
