Musical Instrument Financing
How good a business is bank financ-
ing of musical instrument installment
sales? It is as pleasant as it is profita-
ble, and banks already in this type of
business report generally favorable ex-
perience, according to "FINANCE"
magazine for March. This story on fi-
nancing music dealers' paper was en-
gineered by NAMM in order to bring
to the attention of bankers and other
financial institutions, the desirability
and good risk of financing music sales.
NAMM will soon have reprints of this
article from Finance Magazine, which
will be distributed to the membership.

WURLITZER SPINETTE ORGAN
AT AUTO SHOW
Oregon.
Tied-in with the Motor Show dur-
ing a 10-day stay in February, Port-
land's leading organist, Glenn Shellev
performed on the Wurlitzer Spinette
organ. 102,000 auto fans heard the
popular organist over a hi-fidelity
speaker system which covered the
four acre area of the show.
Designer, organ engineer, Paul
Wirth said, "this was the first use in
Portland of hi-fidelity producing or-
gan music. Most inquisitors were
amazed to learn it was not a pipe
organ instead, it was fine organ music
from the Wurlitzer Spinette."

President Dave Logan of the Auto-
mobile Association of Portland said,
"we consider the organ music with
Shelley at the Wurlilzer a wonderful
introduction before each of our stage
shows and in the intermission between
shows, a contribution to our overall
entertainment. It made it a finished
product."
In addition to daily reader-ads used
by Joseph & Lucas, along with other
attractions, the Motor Show gave Shel-
ley and Joseph & Lucas front page
billing each day of the event in both,
the Oregon Journal and the Oregonian
newspapers.
