Two New 38" Gulbransen
Pianos With Direct Blow
Piano Actions
in New York, recently presented Bur-
ton Minshall, president of the Minshall
The Gulbransen Co., Melrose Park,
111., recently introduced a new 38-inch
scale piano with a full standard direct-
blow action, styled as the "Metropoli-
tan." The action is exactly the same
type of standard direct-blow action
which is used in the 41-inch master
console. The piano is furnished in satin
ebony, mahogany, walnut, blonde ma-
hogany and blonde oak.
In commenting on the reception
which this instrument has received,
E. P. Williams, Sales Manager of the
company, stated: "Not only our dealers
but tuners and teachers alike are equal-
ly warm in their praise of the standard
direct-blow action in this type of pi-
ano. The success of the Metropolitan
has been so phenomenal that this
month we are shipping a new model to
be known as the 'Classic' with ihe same
scale and action. The Classic, of mod-
ern design, will be in our most ex-
pensive case, available in ebony, ma-
hogany, blonde oak and blonde ma-
hogany, satin or high-sheen finish."
"In view of the fact," said Mr. Wil-
liams, "that orders are in excess of
our factory capacity at the present time,
we urge dealers to advise us of their
requirements for the holidays season as
quickly as possible."
