We wish we could answer that question
by shipping you all the Steinway pianos
you want. Unfortunately, we can't. A large
accumulation of back orders has made it
difficult for us to keep step with the increas-
ing demand for the Steinway. We are meet-
ing this challenge by producing pianos as
rapidly as conditions will permit.
The only way we could possibly speed up
deliveries would be to compromise on our
traditional quality of workmanship and
materials. That, of course, is something to
which Steinway & Sons will never subscribe.
As eager as you are to have your order
filled, we know that you wish us to maintain
the high standards of quality which make the
Steinway the most desirable of all pianos.
Rest assured that your Steinway pianos
are being built and will be shipped to you
as soon as possible. In the meantime, we
are grateful to you for your forbearance.
