Arkansas Governor Buys
Kimball Piano for His Home

Adorning the elegant new mansion of
Governor Sidney McMath of Arkansas
is a Kimball grand piano, Style D, in
walnut, which was sold to the Governor
by R. C. Reed of the Reed Music Co.,
Lattle Rock, the capital city. The Kim-
ball is splendidly displayed in a corner
of the drawing room, between two
windows.

Kimball pianos for 20 years before he
established the Little Rock business. Now
semi-retired, he serves in a supervisory
capacity while his son, R. C. Reed,
actively manages the company. Not only
does the Reed Music Co. have a very

operate a half dozen trucks. The store
carries pianos, band instruments, records
and sheet music, appliances and radios.
Their facilities also include a fine recital
hall.
Alumni Present Kranich & Bach
Spinet to Parochial School
W. S. Rice & Son Music House, Green-
ville, S. C, recently sold a Kranich &
Bach spinet piano to the alumni of the
St. Mary's Parochial School in that city
for use in the school's music room.
In acknowledging the gift from the
Alumni Association, Sister M. Ursula,
Principal of the school, wrote the follow-
ing letter to Frank Brasington, Manager
of the Rice & Son Music House, in which
she said, "Saint Mary's Parochial School
was the recent very grateful recipient of
a splendid Kranich & Bach piano, ob-
tained through your organization.
"This instrument was a gift of the
St. Mary's School Alumni Association.
You may be interested to know that we
consider this to be the most appropriate
gift which the Alumni could have ten-
