quartet carried the solo part in the
three numbers sung.
At the conclusion the author and
director were called to the stage and
given enthusiastic applause.
The seating capacity of the William
Penn Senior High School Auditorium
is 1750. The auditorium was over-
crowded and over 2000 people enjoyed
this evening of community music.
Planning for Next Year Now
Immediately at the close of this most
successful Music Week in York, prep-
arations were started for observance
next year, so that it is a continuous
operation in this community and as a
result York not only has a fine Music
Week Program but the musical activi-
ties of the city continue throughout
the year with an ever growing interest.
The York Plan is famous throughout
the nation as a plan whereby all the
industries and people in the commun-
ity cooperate to produce the most with
what they have.
