hasn't been much demand for this line during
the dull period. Owing to the excellent quality
you sent me I have held them back in reserve

instead. As soon as trade picks up, I will be

A most striking number of the group is No.
520, which F. R. Johnson designates as the
Moonbeam model. The illustration here in
black and white gives a fair idea of the design,
but not the color, which is silver and black on
the body and finger board. Other details in-
clude body and neck in opaque black satin fin-
ish, ebonized finger board and bridge, black
position dots, white nut bridge pins and white
end pin, white sound hole and top edge and
other features.
Other good sellers are in lavender, Japanese
amber, leaf green and bird's-eye maple finishes.
Each guitar has a black and orange cord with
tassel to match.

SAN
FRANCISCO, CAL.—The Ferguson Music Co.,
of San Jose, Cal., is now owned and operated
by Waters & Ross of San Francisco, and Alla,n
Ferguson is remaining in charge of the company
in San Jose, a city around which, centers the
business of the Santa Clara Valley, one of the
richest agricultural sections of California.
Waters & Ross have been in business for six
years and have prospered, selling band and or-
chestra instruments and accessories, sliest
music, radios and phonographs. From the be-
ginning they have worked hard and have con-
ducted their business along the lines of their
own ideas for conducting a music house. Both
men had overseas service during the World War
and were actively identified with military bands.

New Catalog Pleases Trade
Buegeleisen & Jacobson, New York, recently
distributed a new catalog and according to
Samuel Buegeleisen, head of the house, the re-
sponse to the distribution of this book gives
promise of a stimulated revival in the demand
for musical merchandise.
One letter was received from Dixon's Ex-
clusive Violin Shap, Lansing, Mich., in which
it was stated: "I wish to thank you for the new
catalog for years 1930-1931. Trust that I may
have the pleasure of getting some articles
selected from this catalog before those dates
have expired.
"I still have quite a number of the violins
that I bought of you. I am not keeping them
because of any fault to find with the goods or
the price I paid for them, but simply that there
