Name Value
Dealer Success
The Kimball name has been before the public for seventy
years. Probably 80% of the adult population of this country
knows the Kimball name and millions have had personal
experience with a Kimball product. The Kimball name
on a piano stands for a record of achievement not equaled
in the history of the piano industry.
The Kimball agency has been the foundation of many of
the most successful retail houses in the United States. Hun-
dreds of them have built up a splendid business after start-
ing with practically no capital and handling nothing bui
the Kimball line.
Dealer Turnover
Reputation
The Kimball reputation for dealing fairly with their patrons,
whether dealers or retail purchasers, is largely responsible
for the growth of this business to where it is the largest
of its kind in the world.
Responsibility
Kimball financial responsibility and resources are unques-
tioned. There is no greater strength in the piano industry
than that back of the Kimball product.
Medals and Awards
"Kimball pianos typify the highest perfection in tone, scale,
action and design in American piano making/' was the
verdict of the jury at one of the great expositions. That
opinion is confirmed by the unbroken record of medals and
awards received by Kimball pianos wherever shown. No
other manufacturer has been thus honored.
Tone
The question of Kimball tone has been answered by emi-
nent musical authorities throughout the years since the
Kimball piano was first manufactured. It has stood the
test of time and is more noted today among recognized
critics than at any previous date.
Endorsements
The opinions of the eighty-four world famous artists shown
in the Kimball catalog are typical of hundreds more who
have shown their preference for the Kimball. No other
piano has been more widely used and endorsed by famous
artists and musical leaders.
Use in Schools
A preliminary survey covering about one-tenth of this coun-
try shows over 6,000 Kimball pianos used in schools, thea-
tres, churches and other public institutions. The total sur-
vey when completed will show many times this number.
There is no better proof of both durability and quality.
Many dealers have handled the Kimball line for twenty-five
years, forty years, and some for over fifty years. A list
will be furnished on request. Several individual dealers
have each sold over a million dollars worth of Kimball in-
struments. These facts are of great importance to pro-
spective dealers.
Dealer Co-operation
It would require several pages to outline the ttventy'seven
sales plans which the Kimball Company furnishes for the
use of their dealers. We are retailers ourselves and know
exactly what the retail merchant's problems are.
Advertising and Prestige
Millions of dollars have been spent advertising the Kimball
name. This name is also found on more pianos than anv
other name, and on thousands of pipe organs, some of them
the largest organs in the world. Kimball advertising ap-
pears regularly in national magazines.
Financing Plan
For dealers who need additional capital in their business
Kimball offers a financing plan which meets every legiti-
mate need of the retail merchant. Many dealers use this,
plan today in amounts ranging from a few thousand dollars
up to over $600,000 each. No other factory financing plan
has been so widely used by piano dealers.
Easily Sold
There are far more Kimball pianos in use than any other
make and probably three times as many as any other instru-
ment of similar price and quality. It must be easy to sell!
Variety of Styles
Established Retail Price
There are over one hundred styles and combinations in the
Kimball line—the most complete line under one name in the
trade. Three-fifths of the dealers handling Kimbail pianos
do not consider it necessary to handle any other lines.
The Kimball warsrooms in Chicago, one of the largest retail
establishments in the piano industry, operates on a strictly
one-price basis. Every piano is tagged at the cash price
and no deviation is made from these prices. Every Kim-
ball piano has an established retail price and an official
price card is provided for the use of Kimball dealers.
There is only one piano with a great name and international
reputation, used on the concert stage today, which can be
retailed at a popular price within the reach of the average
buyer. That piano is the Kimball.
