Fred Fisher, Inc., New York, has just released
a song which is expected to write a startling
bit of sheet music history. The title of the
number is "There's a Convent by the Beautiful
Sea," the lyric telling a touching story, and
winding up with an effective climax. The song,
words and music of which are by Fred Fisher,
writer of "Dardanella," "Peg O' My Heart,"
"Ireland Must Be Heaven" and others, are of
the spontaneous sort and can be characterized
as a "scenario in song."
It will be very extensively exploited by the
Fred Fischer organization, and, having already
met with highly favorable recognition on the
part of the trade, record and roll companies
and p. ofessionals, is predicted to be as unusual
and spectacular as "The Prisoner Song."
