A damage and injunction suit has been in-
stituted by M. Witmark & Sons, New York
against the W. P. Chase Candy Corp., Brook-
lyn, for infringement of the former's copyright
on the song, "Sweet Adeline," a single bar of
which has been used by the candy company on

Wanamaker Prize Winners
The winners of awards totaling $1,000 offered
by Rodman Wanamaker for the best musical
compositions by negro composers were an-
nounced last week at the annual convention of
the National Association of Negro Musicians

260 compositions in every field of music were
submitted. The prizes were offered through the
Robert Curtis Ogden Association of the John
Wanamaker store in Philadelphia.

York; Harry E. Rush, 1810 South Twentieth

F. Henri Klickmann, composer of "Sweet Ha-
waiian Moonlight," "Waters of the Perkiomen,"
and other big sellers, has recently composed a
beautiful concert waltz entitled "Lady Moon."
The number is published by Alfred & Co., New
York, which is planning big things for it during
the Fall. Mr. Klickmann is noted for particu-
larly melodious compositions, and "Lady Moon"
is considered to be one of his best efforts. The
words were written by Virginia McDonald.
