There must be
PIONEERS
In business, as in exploration, there must be
pioneers—people who, through their initia-
tive, will provide new things for the world and
its people.
Last June we did some pioneering in the
piano business—we produced the first reason-
ably priced period model upright pianos ever
known to the trade.
Like all pioneers we blazed the way for
others. Then—we alone featured period model
uprights, now—almost every manufacturer
does. Our great success has made the pioneer-
ing work we did invaluable to ourselves and to
the industry as a whole.
Two new period models have just been added
to our line—they make it twice as strong and
twice as attractive—they will be even more
popular than the others were for now the pub-
lic knows about period model pianos and
wants them.
Through the usually quiet months of last
summer dealers were wiring for additional
period model instruments. Those who stocked
then did not have to waitior the busy season—
those pianos made their own.
The start that we got by pioneering has
given us valuable information—we know what
the public wants in period model pianos and
are prepared to supply it.
Profit by last year's experience and get these
period, model instruments on your floor at
once.
Designed to fill the music needs and fit the
living rooms of American homes.
( The piano shown below is the new Florentine Period
Model Instrument. Finished in Shaded Art Lacquer.)

One of the contributory reasons why the Steinway

ments found in no other instrument.
