In the center of this is a placard uniting Mr.

window attracted unusual attention and in-

idea of bringing the teacher and the mother
closer together, whereby the mother may intel-
ligently assist in directing the early music
study of her children. This co-operation be-
tween mother, teacher and student should prove
advantageous. The book aids and encourages
the plans for the musical education of the young,
and, with wide distribution, it doubtless will
prove an incentive for developing latent talent.

we see the legitimate dealer taking an active
part in the organizing of school Dands and the
dissemination of the special material that is now
available for school orchestras in various size
orchestration form.
All of these activities are tending to bring a
larger volume of profits into the retail music
establishment. It, .of course, generally makes
necessary the carrying in stock of all the needed
accessories that go with this sort of business,
but it is bringing handsome profits, through new
sales measures, into a business that when con-
fined strictly to sheet music, teaching material
and other standard publications is only meager.
