STEINWAY
'he INSTRUMENTofthe IMMORTAL!
^
One of the contributory reasons why the Stcinway
piano is recognized as
For Over a Hundred Years
Devoted to the Highest Art
THE WORLD'S STANDARD
may be found in the fact that since its inception
it has been made under the supervision of members
of the Steinway family, and embodies improve-
ments found in no other instrument.

A STARR PLAYER
With New Features
Nothing has ever been spared to make Starr Pianos outstanding values in the
musical field. Constant added refinements of construction besides increasing values
immeasurably make instant appeal on casual inspection. Starr prestige aptly sym-
bolizes the fifty-four years of consistent effort to build the best.
The new Starr Player is in accord with 'modern player building of providing every
means of artistic expression yet it is simplified for durability and absolute reliability.
It is therefore endowed with that brilliance of tone and performance characteristic
in all instruments of Starr origin.
ACTION. The action of the new Starr is extraordinarily responsive and will
not play until motor is up to the speed of a designated tempo and remains the
same regardless of light or heavy pumping. There is no racing. Uniform tempo
is assured.
VALVES. The valves and valve stems are damp-proof and are not affected by
climatical changes. A specially tanned leather that will not corrode the valve
seats is used. Valve seats are also treated to prevent corrosion.
BELLOWS. The bellows have been balanced to> the action, making pumping
lighter than ever before. Less than a single stroke of one pedal will make any
chord that may be open on tracker bar, or the entire keyboard, speak. The re-
serve is ample for easy pumping and carry-over and a crash can be obtained by
one stroke of either pedal.
