Paul Biese and His Cinderalla Orchestra, who
are appearing at the Cinderalla Garden, Chicago,
are featuring the number with great success.
Nine other combinations under the supervision
of Paul Biese are pushing the tune in that city,

able for various purposes by music merchants.
The larger cut-outs have been used very effec-
tively in the dressing of numerous windows.
They lend themselves to artistic background
and look well with records, player rolls or sheet
music.

Early Returns Gratifying
for Richmond Catalogs
Dealers Already Ordering These in Good Vol-
ume—First Printing Will Be Well Over
250,000 Copies
Maurice Richmond, head of the Richmond
Music Supply Corp., is gratified over the early
returns in the way of orders and co-operation
on the announcement
of the coming stand-
ard and popular cata-
logs which are shortly
to be issued.
The v o l u m e of
orders have been quite
heavy and r a n g e
from 500 copies to
over 5,000 , or more.
Seemingly, the only
drawback so far has
been the f e e l i n g

they will be unable to
send in repeat orders after the initial shipment.
Owing to the fact that the first run of these
catalogs will be well over 250,000 copies, and
the price has been regulated accordingly, small
reprint editions could only be made at a price
which would be prohibitive.
Due to the fact that dealers in practically
every city will have these catalogs,- those who
do not arrange for their allotment in advance,
will find competition most keen.

section of the New York Sunday Tribune in
the issue of January 20, featuring Al Jolson's
big song hit, "Arcady." This is only one of the
outstanding factors in the publicity given this
unusual song. A great number of vaudeville
artists are programming "Arcady" regularly and
it is heard frequently in the dance halls of the
country. This Feist issue will be one of the
features of the activities of the Feist various
branch offices and all its representatives, which
should make it a nationally advertised song
during the coming weeks. The details of the
follow-up campaign cover many channels and
some unusually effective, supplementary adver-
tising material has been issued on the number
for some time.

The Zipf Music Publishing Co. is the publisher
of "Days of Yesterday," which is used as the
theme song in the photoplay production of the
same title. In addition, the number is being
broadcasted by several radio stations. The pub-
lisher has issued it in both waltz and fox-trot
forms. A new feature of the Zipf Co.'s ex-
ploitation plans is placing in the retailer's hands
free orchestrations so that he may be assured
of publicity on Zipf numbers in his locality.
