Sorrow Thy Young Days Shaded?", an old
Irish air, the words of which are by Thomas
Moore; the music is arranged by Herbert
Hughes; "Little Holes in Heaven," the words
of which are by Arthur Du Soit and music by
Barbara Melville Hope; "A Green Cornfield,"
words by Christina Rossetti, music by Michael
Head; "Fairy Roses," music by S. Coleridge
Taylor; "Sometimes a Bird Will Sing," words
by Dorothy Dickinson, music by F. S. Breville-
Smith; "Music, When Soft Voices Die," words
by Shelley, music by Maurice Besly; "My Rose
in the Garden of Love," words by Hazel M.
1 ockwood, music by Lee W. Lockwood. Also
a new song which has recently been pro-
grammed by Reinald Werrenrath, entitled
"Drumadoon," words by C. A. Renshaw. Ver-
non Eville, who has in the past contributed a
number of successful waltzes, is responsible
for "Wish Blossoms" with words by Dena
Tempest; Byron Gay, who has heretofore been
particularly known for up-to-the-minute popu-
lar numbers, has contributed the words and
music to "The Song of My Dream."
New Organ Numbers
The Oliver Ditson Co., Boston, Mass., has
added to its organ series "Dance Character-
isque," Charles Wakefield C'adman's "Memories,"
and to its composition for violin and piano,
"Ye Who Have Yearned Alone"; for violincello
and piano forte, has been added "Serenade
Badine"; "Carry Me Back to Old Virginia" re-
appears arranged as solo for cornet and tenor
and melody saxophones by James A. Bland.
Williams Arms Fisher has contributed the
words and adaptation for Anton Dvorak, from
the Largo of the Symphony, and is entitled
"(join' Home." A new Franz Schubert piece
for the piano appears in a theme from "Unfin-
ished Symphony." There is also included three
third-grade piano teaching pieces by Arthur
Traves Granfield, entitled "Minuet," "Petite
Gavotte" and "Valsette."
Harms Publishes "Vogues"
A new Shubert revue, entitled "Vogues of
1924," recently opened at the Shubert Theatre,
New York. The book and lyrics are by Fred
Thompson and Clifford Grey; music by Herbert
Stothart. The principals include Odette Myrtil.
J. Harold Murray, Fred Allen and a number of
oilier Broadway personalities. This is a light
musical offering particularly suitable for the
coming Summer months. The outstanding songs
are "Land of Happiness," "Hee-Bee Jee-Bees,"
and "That's the Tune," Harms, Inc., is the
publisher of the music, which bids fair to be a
good seller alreadv.
