"What'll I Do?" and "Lazy," by Irving Berlin,
to Be Widely Exploited by This House
"What'll I Do?" and "Lazy," the two new
songs written by Irving Berlin and released by
Irving Berlin, Inc., are to have widespread pub-
licity through the sales, band and orchestra,
professional, branch offices and representatives,
according to the-publisher.
This publicity campaign will cover every
music channel, with particular attention to the
vaudeville field. In addition it is to be hooked
up with motion picture programs.
These unusual advertising plans, as well as
the fact that the numbers are by Berlin him-
self, should do much to produce sales.
Features Remick Number
The Los Angeles Evening Herald, in its issue
of March 4, carried a front-page story on the
song "Counting the Days," recently taken over
by Jerome H. Remick & Co. The Herald,
which is said to have the largest circulation
west of Chicago, used three-column illustrations
of the composers, Earl Burtnett, Jess Kirk-
patrick and Harry D. Kerr. "Counting the
Days" was originally introduced by the Los

CHICAGO, 111., March 15.—At a meeting of local
publishers and representatives held recently at
the Sherman House the sheet music men

moting good fellowship and "get-together"
meetings. The following officers were elected:
Ernie Erdman president; Will Rossiter, vice-
president; Rocco Vocco, treasurer, and Mart
Schaeffer, secretary. E. C. Mills, of New York,
