chants report it is fi fty -fift y in the demand for
popular and classica l mu s ic. This is the fir s t

cent yea rs, the popular numb er s ha v in g th e
lar ge r call a lwa ys. At the sheet mu s ic depart ­
ment of the M c N eil Co. st o r e popular musi c
sales hav e in crea,,, d 20 p er cen t since th e mid ­
dle of July. "Yes, W e Hav e No Bana na s" is
lhe best se ll er in popular musi c now, d ea le rs

The A. J. Stasny Music Co., Inc., song and
fox-trot, "Sun -Kist Rose," ha s assumed na tiona l

th e greater part of Atlantic Cit y's popu­
lar mu sic, found it profitable to not

to exp loit the number, but, in add iti on ,
made it a week's featur e and carried
o ut a special sales driv e.
During the week in which "Sun-Kist
kosc" was featured a rno st attractive
windo", display was also arranged. A
repr oduction of the window is sho w n
he rewith and gives a good idea o f th e
ar rangements made to attract sa les.
