ups we received on 'Sonia's Song'; also samples
of advertising done beforc and after the show
ing. W e ha ve received m any flatterin g com
ments on thi s production a nd a re sure the re
s ults from an adver ti s in g , tandpoint will in time
be very satisfying. Artistically, we feel safe
in saying it is the finest thing of its kind ever
presented to the public. Th e theatre mana ge
ment were also delighted with it and the re
ception it received; the house was crowded
almost every evening and the afternoon crowds
were good also."
From Vly S. Hill, managing director of the
atres in Troy and Albany, N . Y., Cluett &
Sons, who sponsored two New York State ap
pearances of "Sonia's Song" with David
Pesetzki as the featured artist, was received the
following letter: "I wish to attest to th e
great success of 'So nia's Song' wit h Mr. Davi d
Pesetzki in a personal appearance at our Troy
Theatre, Troy, N . Y., and our Mark Strand,
Albany, N. Y ., usin g the Duo-Art piano with
grea t effect. Thousands were deli ghted at each
performance with this wonderful presentation
a nd I, personally, consider it one of the greatest
an d most dignified novelt ies that I have had
th e pleasure of liste nin g to in many years. You
will have no tr o ubl e makin g productions in our
theatres if they are 50 per cent as entertaining
an d enjoyable as 'Sonia's Song.'''
Dealers and managers, too, comment on the
thorough plan fo r co-operation in each local
presentation which has been made by th e
wholesale promotion department of the Aeolian
Co. This plan, worked out in detai l, particularly
covers every point in the important items of
stage arrangement and lightin g for "Sonia's
Song."
Dealers bookin g "Sonia's Son g" and the the
a tr es wh ere it is to be present ed are supplied
with full inst ructions regarding the stage settin g
a nd the lighting eff ects, so th at th e presentation
may be kept up to the es tablished standard and
ca rry out the idea to the best advantage.
