Aeolian film, "Soni a 's Song," de s igned for the
ex ploitation of the Duo-Art pi a no, had been
s ho wn twic e in one da y on board the mammoth
lin e r and ha d proven most su ccess ful. P a r­
tiCLd a r interes t attached to the ex hibition for
the rea so n that it is believ ed to be th e first tim e
an industrial film wa s ever s hown at sea, and
the showin g is th ere forf to be accept ed as a
tribute to the quality of the picture and the
s tor y it unfolded.

film last season, to tour aga in with "Sonia 's
So ng."

Bar s ukov has b e en engaged. He is a young
Ru ss ia n compo ser-piani s t, who rec e ntl y cam e
to thi s country a nd who was preparin g for a
conc e r t tour with the Steinway piano w hen en­
gaged t o travel with the fil m .

and Mo scow, he finall y enter ed the arm y and
had som e nerve-rac king ex pe riences, being
wounded and taken p ri soner.

on s hipboard and , reaching New York, was com ­
pelled to work as bottle washer and loader for
a milk cOll1pa ny to earn a livelihood. He then
got in t o uch with Rachmaninoff and, through
that conn ec tion, sec ur ed the recognition due his
p ia nistic ability.
