The object of this -book is to provide be-
ginners with interesting material of real musical
value, and this the authors have achieved in
this booklet of fifty pages, containing very easy
solos and duets, culled from the music of all
nations, such as Spanish, English, French, Fin-
nish, Canadian, Bohemian, Dutch, Irish, Ger-
man folk tunes, etc. The text is printed with
many of the tunes, thus emphasizing their mean-
ing. Print is clear with fingering very care-
fully marked, and the entire booklet is arranged
in an artistic manner.

Theatre, New York City
A recent visitor to New York was Roy Bargy,
of the prominent Chicago orchestra bearing his
name. Mr. Bargy, who has severed his con-
nections with the Benson Orchestra, has just
signed a lengthy contract with the Trianon
Dance Hall in Chicago. The Trianon Dance
Hall is considered the finest of its kind in
Aiueiica.

B. F. Keith's College of Theatre Music has
graduated a full orchestra which will occupy
the pit of the Royal Theatre, New York City.
A. Juskowitt will be the director. The new
orchestra is made up of finished musicians in-
cluding a number of soloists. All have been
trained especially for vaudeville. This week
the new orchestra is featuring its own arrange-
