GIVES SERIES OF RADIO CONCERTS
Irving Berlin, Inc., Getting Some Good Pub-
licity in Co-operating With Newspapers in
Broadcasting Music by Wireless
United Effort!
What tremendous force can be
brought together through united ef-
fort has been demonstrated by the
big success of Century national ad-
vertising, for at no time could it be
a success without the.
u n i t €i Century dealers.
Every Century ad fea-
tures what ii hundred or
more publishers issue,
big-welling n o n-copy-
rights. But these num-
bers in "CENTI'KV"
cost you but 4c each,
(hus insuring you 275 per cent
profit on all you sell.
That's WHY It pays you to
favor "CENTURY" for its BIG
profit. Besides we are the only
ones who help you sell them
through national advertising.

Irving Berlin, Inc., in conjunction with some
of the leading daily papers throughout the
country, has heen running a series of wireless
concerts. Newspapers in the leading trade cen-
ters of the East, Middle West and Pacific Coast
have taken part in these musical activities and
the result has been that the Berlin catalog has
received publicity over a wide territory and what
could be called on a national scale.
Among the most successful of the recent
radio concerts was the one given under the
auspices of the Buffalo Courier-Enquirer, at
which Miss Edna Zahm was the main participant,
assisted by Hildredth Morrow, Richard Miller
and F. H. Rose, the well-known and popular
vaudeville artist. Among the songs sung were:
"Granny, You're My Mammy's Mammy,"
"Delia," "Just a Little Love Song" and "Tuck
Me to Sleep" (In My Old Kentucky Home),
while the Broadway Syncopators, a well-known
orchestra organization, rendered "Say It With
Music" and several other selections in dance
form.

Chappell-Harms, Inc., has been informed by the
Photo Play Music Co. that its number, "Smile
Through Your Tears," has been chosen for one
of the main musical themes in the Loew Rex
Ingram Production of "Turn to the Right" which
opened at the Lyric Theatre, New York, on
Monday of last week.
The number was selected after more than 100
ballads had been carefully considered, and in its
present form is not only played during the pres-
entation but is sung at the opening of the picture
by a male quartet.
CANADIAN IMPORTS^SHOW INCREASE
Importation of Sheet Music From the United
States to Canada Shows Monthly Gain
As will be seen from the following figures
supplied by Ottawa, Canada's imports of sheet
music for October—the last month for which
figures are available—are in excess of those for
the preceding month. In fact, the Canadian Mu-
sic Trades Journal has been recording increases
for the past few months, the July figure having
been $21,368; August, $45,408; September, $50,-
686, and now October, $52,719. These figures
are for imports from all countries. During Sep-
te.mber and October, 1921, imports from the
United States represented a total value of $45,-
216 and $47,654, respectively.
