'ANGEL CHILD" A HIT
New Number by Benny Davis Being Published
by Witmark & Sons
Benny Davis, the writer of such song suc-
cesses as "Margie," "Make Believe," "Nobody's
Baby," "Sweetheart" and other songs, has writ-
ten in conjunction with Abner Silver a new song
entitled "Angel Child," which M. Witmark &
Sons have accepted for immediate publication.
George E. Price, well-known vaudeville and
musical comedy star, originally introduced the
number in Cleveland, O., and more recently has
been singing it with success in the metropolitan
district, including the Crescent Theatre, Brook-
lyn, N. Y., and the Winter Garden this week.
The publishers received the following tele-
gram, following its original introduction, which
speaks for itself:
"Received orchestration as I was bowing.
The electrician handed it to me. I opened it on
stage, gave it to the orchestra, explained situa-
tion and sang 'Angel Child' for the first time.
It tied up the show complete. 'Angel Child' is
sure to make your New Year a happy one.
"(Signed) Georgie Price."
