THE ROLL
OF HONOR 9 *
RE: PRICE REDUCTION
When U. S. Word Rolls were reduced from $1.25 to $1.00 we yielded
to the pleas of the trade. This action, economically, was utterly un-
warranted. We've lost considerable on $1.25 U. S. Word Rolls and will
lose still more—if the demand for $1.25 U. S. Word Rolls at $1.00 is
not vastly increased.
On the U. S. EXCHANGE PLAN, U. S. Word Rolls can now be re-
tailed at 80c through allowing 20c for the customers' old rolls. Eighty
cents is the pre-war price of U. S. Word Rolls; however, their current
cost of production and distribution is over 50% more than then.
SPECIAL PROPOSITION
In addition to the price reduction, we have initiated a plan that will
save thousands for dealers who give rolls with new players.
U. S. Player Rolls are not made in cheaper grades, nor are they
disguised with other labels or available at cut prices.
U. S. Rolls Are Not Competitive!
Neither Dealers in Nor Makers of Musical Instruments Are
Financially Interested in the Manufacture of U. S. Rolls

It's what is inside of the Sterling that has made its repu-
tation. Every detail of its construction receives thorough
attention from expert workmen—every material used in its
construction is the best—absolutely. That means a piano
of permanent excellence in every particular in which a
piano should excel. The dealer sees the connection be-
tween these facts and the universal popularity of the
Sterling.

It is the most successful dealer who canvasses his trade, and demon-
strates one of his best machines.
Many a sale for a high-priced machine has been lost by showing the
cheaper machine because it is more easily handled.
With the Lea Talking Machine Truck, one man can make many
demonstrations a day, and do it with SAFETY.
