"Kitty O'Hare" is the title of a new Irish
melody by Werner Janssen set to a characteristic
lyric by Francis DeWitt. Mr. Janssen is very
much in the limelight at the present time through
his tuneful music in "Love Dreams," a Morosco
production now running at the Apollo Theatre,
New York. "Kitty O'Hare" is described as a
musical Irish gem by Tom Burke, one of the
foremost Irish singers, who is to program the
number at his next Hippodrome concert. He
has also recorded it for the Columbia Grapho-
phone Co., which, it is understood, is going to
release it as a special record. It is published by

Co-operation!
A fliiiin is no stronger than its weakest
link.
Century's chain of dealer co-operation has
pretty well demonstrated its strength.
In every national advertising campaign that
we have promoted, Century dealers, almost as
a whole, have formed a chain of strong link
co-operation that was 90 per cent responsible
for each campaign's success, which made it
possible for us to increase our appropriation
each year.
Our campaign right now is the biggest
ever, reaching over THIRTY-FIVE MILLION
magazine readers every month.
The link you supply to this co-operative
chain will guide many who see our ads to
your store.
What you realized before you will surely
wish to realize again.

Mildred Graham, who gave her first New York
recital of the season this week, included Arthur
Penn's new song, "When May Is Turning to
June." This number, with a lyric by James
Stuart Montgomery, is meeting with popular
approval and Miss Graham's rendition was well
received. James Stuart Montgomery, by the
way, is a poet who was known throughout the
A E. F. for his war verses and articles signed
with a thumb print. His work, in collaboration
with Arthur Penn, is assured of success. Miss
Graham also rendered Frank Tour's setting of
Lieut. Col. McCree's famous poem, "In Flanders'
Fields." Both of these numbers afe published
by M. Witmark & Sons.
GETS GOOD PUBLICITY
New Richmond Hit Featured Through Collabo-
ration With Newspaper
Harry Engel, Chicago manager of Maurice
Richmond, Inc., recently made a trip to Mil-
waukee, Wis., where, in collaboration with "Mr.
X," of the Milwaukee Journal, he was successful
in getting some unusual publicity for the firm's
song, "Yoo Hoo." Previously "Mr. X," who is
also connected with the Chicago Evening Post,
through the assistance of Harry Singer, who is
Chicago manager of the Orpheum Circuit, car-
ried out a publicity stunt in favor of the same
song, with the aid and assistance of a number
of acts playing at the State Lake Theatre. A
series of photographs and a large-size story on
the unusual "stunt" appeared in both papers.
A "MAMMY SONG" THAT SELLS
"Mammy's Loving Lullaby," by Fisher Thomp-
son, composer of the waltz success "Rio Nights,"
is proving a big counter seller, according to re-
ports in the trade. The Fisher Thompson Music
Publishing Co. has adopted the slogan, "Songs
That Appeal," and "Mammy's Loving Lullaby"
is an indication that they are living up to the
slogan.
