Prior to the completion of plans for the Fall

Louis Breau, professional manager of Belwin,
Inc., left New York last week for a tour of the

Mammy." This is the number that is being sung
successfully by Eddie Cantor in "The Midnight
Rounders," now playing in Chicago.
The International Lyceum and Chautauqua
Association held its annual convention at the
Congress Hotel, Chicago, 111., Thursday, Sep-
tember 15, to Wednesday, September 21, inclu-

Co., Boston, Mass.; Gamble Hinged Music Co.,
Chicago; Edmund Graham, Chicago; Hinds,

Press, of Philadelphia.
MUSIC SCORES FROM HUNGARY
Adorjan Otvos, recently arrived in this coun-
try from Hungary with several musical comedy
scores to his credit, has composed a new fox-trot
song "Tamayola," which is a new idea in fox-
trot rhythm. The song is being published by the
Tama Music Publishing Co.
TO PROVIDE MUSIC FOR "ELSIE"
Sissle and Blake, the colored writers, who are
appearing- in the musical success "Shuffle
Along," have been commissioned to do the musi-
cal numbers for a new Broadway production.
The play, which is to be called "Elsie," will be
given under the direction of Edgar MacGregor.
M. Witmark & Sons, who publish the music
for "Shuffle Along," will also publish the score
of "Elsie."
Frank Pallma, Jr., and Jake Ellis
Frank Pallma, Jr., sometimes referred to as the
"Pocket Edition," who represents the West, and
J. E. Ellis, or "Kewpie," the Eastern representa-
tive. Thus East and West have met. The boys
are now on the road, and, according to reports of
their activities, the Sam Fox catalog is being en-
thusiastically received' everywhere.
CAMPAIGN ON "MONASTERY BELLS"
The Sam Fox Publishing Co., of Cleveland,
O., which recently purchased from Lee S. Rob-
erts, Inc., "Monastery Bells," has just completed
arrangements to make it one of the leading num-
bers of the Fall popular catalog. "Monastery
Bells", will be given some unusual publicity.
ISSUES ITS FIRST SONG
The Sunshine Music Co., Inc., has just issued
its first song, entitled "It's You." The number,
a fox-trot love song, is being featured by Al Jol-
son and will be included in his material when he
opens the new musical s'how "Bombo." "It's
You" is from the pens of Benny Davis and Con
Conrad, writers of "Palesteena," "Make Believe,"
"Margie," "Mimi" and 1 other song successes, and
distribution will be handled through Harms, Inc.
CARROLL "REVUE" POPULAR
Harry Carroll, the well-known songwriter, re-
cently introduced his new musical revue, and
one of the outstanding songs of this attraction
is the Brennan and Wilson number, "Down at
the Old Swimming Hole," sung by the Bennett
sisters. "Down at the Old Swimming Hole" has
caused some unusual comment; particularly is
this true as regards its lyric. During recent
weeks it has invariably appeared in the programs
of the Palace Theatre, New York. The Edward
B. Marks Music Co. is the publisher.

"GREENWICH FOLLIES" SONGS
M. Witmark & Sons Publishing Four of the Hits
of That Production
The "Greenwich Village Follies" of 1921 is
considered to be one of the best musical come-
dies that has hit Rroadway this season. It is
especially rich in song material and some of
the "novelties" in particular are assured suc-
cess.
M. Witmark & Sons are the publishers of four
of these numbers, "Down the Old Church Aisle,"
by Ray Perkins, and sung by the inimitable
comedian, Ted Lewis; "Kill 'em With Kind-
ness," featured by Al Herman; "I've Got the
Red, White and Blues," introduced by James
Duffy, and "Sundown Brings Memories of You."
"Take It From Me" looks like developing from
a hardy annual into a mighty healthy perennial.
This merry musical comedy by Will B. John-
stone and Will R. Anderson opened its third
season in Cleveland last week and proved as
fresh and mirth-provoking as ever. All the old
musical hits remain, and with good reason, for it
would be hard to find anything better to take the
