A TED LEWIS SONG HIT SOON
"I Love You, Sunday," Will Be Released in
Record Form by Columbia Co.
The news has just leaked out that Ted Lewis,
the Jazz King, in his own inimitable style has
played "I Love You, Sunday," the reigning
dance sensation, for Columbia records. This is
welcome information for devotees of the waxen
floor, because it guarantees a real tuneful treat.
Just how soon this musical concoction will be
dispensed to the public cannot be told, but suf-
fice it to state that "1 Love You, Sunday," with
all of the original art of Ted Lewis, will soon be
resounding in castle and cabin, wherever lovers of
music gather. Charley Straight, the wizard of
the ivories and composer of this scintillating hit,
knows what the public wants. When he was
asked to put his choicest harmonies in a dance
novelty he got busy and "1 Love You, Sunday,"
was the result.
There is no judge of musical merit more capa-
ble than Ted Lewis. He has found this composi-
tion excellent for entertaining his merry mil-
lions of followers. "[ Love You, Sunday," has
been recorded by all of the talking machine and
music roll companies. From a sheet music
standpoint, it is forcing the publisher (Foster,
Chicago) to issue new editions as fast as they
can be rushed from the presses.
