be reached unless both of us keep abreast,
and our traces stretched.

Jack Nelson, who recently joined the writing
staff of the Riviera Music Co., Chicago, 111., is
the composer of the musical comedy "For
Heaven's Sake." His first contribution to the
Riviera catalog is "Empty Cellar Blues," which
appears to be a number which will have much
popularity.
The Riviera Music Co. has just arranged to
publish "The Rose of China," a new number
from the pen of Paul Biese, the well-known
Chicago orchestra leader, whose organization
also does recording for the Columbia Grapho-
phone Co. It is understood that Clark Tyler,
leader of the Green Mill Orchestra of the same
city, assisted in producing the number. The
lyric, by the way, is from the pen of Rex
Lardner, brother of the well-known Ring Lard-

never fails to attract public attention is gen-
erally recognized and although the expense of
ilie display is considerable, it has also been well
worth while. The display has already been
shown in several of the prominent music store
windows in Chicago and in other cities.
PARTY FOR ENTERPRISE EMPLOYES
The Enterprise Music Supply Association,
made up of employes of the Enterprise Music
Supply Co., recently gave a theatre party and
dinner, the show being "Shavings," one of the
popular dramas of the day. It is the intention
of the association to give a boat ride and out-
ing very shortly. The officers of the associa-
tion are: Ben Richmond, chairman; Ben Baer,
president; Dora Alexander,
vice-president;
Sayre Marden, secretary, and Maurice Solomon,
treasurer.
A STORY TOLD IN SONG
Grant Clarke, the well-known song writer, has
just written a song entitled "You Grew Tired of
Me," dedicated to his former wife who recently
remarried. The number has already received
much publicity in the press, due to the promi-
nence of the parties involved. The lyrics tell
a story that has a wide appeal.
Jack Mills, Inc., have just issued a new song
entitled "The Evil Eye," which is released in
conjunction with a motion picture of the same
name, produced by the Hallmark Pictures Corp.,
the picture being in serial form.
