ARMY TO USE ARTILLERY MARCH
The Education and Recreation Branch of the
War Department, which is at present giving
much attention to leading march compositions
for the purpose of distributing them among the
bands of the United States Army, has contracted
to use the '74th Field Artillery March," by
David A. Peterson, and "Treat 'Em Rough," by
Robert VanSickle. Both numbers are from the
catalog of the Dennis B. Owens, Jr. Co., Inc.,
Kansas City, Mo.
THREE NEW SONGS RELEASED
The McKinley Music Co. have just released
three new songs in behalf of which they have
inaugurated a campaign of publicity on a large
scale. They are "One Little Girl," a march
ballad; "Smoke Rings," a high-class ballad, and
"Do You," described as a "swingy rag." All three
numbers show great possibilities.

Attractive Window Display of
novelty number, "Ching-A-L,ing's Jazz Bazaar,"
the Leo Feist, Inc., publication, had a specially
decorated booth representing a Chinese pagoda
from which nothing was sold but the song in
question. The booth was painted a bright red
and black and attracted much attention. Dur-
ing the time in which the song was featured
"Ching-A-Ling's Jazz Bazaar"
duced a photograph of the booth and some idea
of the value of this unique and attractive method
of giving a song a special display can be realized.
NEW FOX-TROT PUBLISHED
R. Joseph Mazza recently placed with the
Dennis B. Owens, Jr. Co., Kansas City, Mo.,
a new song and fox-trot, "I'm Always Dream-
ing Dreams."
