prizes and a reputation that extends far beyond
the limits of his State.
Fortunately "Patches" lends itself to unique
and attractive displays and many displays during
the past few months have taken advantage of that
fact. It would appear from the attention the trade
is giving window displays that it has come
who very often have material that can be put
to effective use.
CEYLON MARKET FOR SHEET MUSIC
According to advices from Ceylon, there is a
good opportunity to build up a trade in sheet
music there. What few music dealers there are
carry incomplete stocks, for which the charge
is oO cents and up. This stock is limited in a
large degree to the better-known classics and
this in spite of the fact that there is a consider-
able demand for editions not locally available.
NEW PUBLISHER ON BROADWAY
Joe Maxwell, Inc., is the trade name of a
new publishing firm which has opened up New
York offices at 1568 Broadway. Tt has re-
leased the following numbers: "Across the
Desert." ".Sagamore," "Ghost Melody," "Mem-
ories of Mother and Home" and "Have You
Seen Mv Little Girl?"
Commencing with the Summer season, Flet-
cher. Brown & Marr, a new music publishing
firm of Philadelphia, I'a., will open a music
store in a prominent location on the boardwalk
at Atlantic Citv, \ r . T.
