SINGS POPULAR WITMARK SONGS
"The Girl from Milwaukee," one of the most suc-
cessful drawing cards on the vaudeville stage, has
just returned from a most successful western tour,
and is playing engagements in some of the larger
eastern cities. She is successfully singing Victor
Herbert's delightful song, "Kiss Me Again," and in
addition especially features the popular number,
"That Wonderful Mother of Mine," both of which
are published by M. Witmark & Sons.
"SUNSHINE GIRL OF MINE" POPULAR
The Meyer Cohen Music Co. has recently pub-
lished a song entitled, "Sunshine Girl of Mine."
Since its release its sales have mounted steadily,
and the staff of the above organization are very
enthusiastic over the way it is showing up. They
expect it to lead the catalog during the present
season. Another number, which the firm is hav-
ing much success with is the ballad, "If I Only
Had You" (I'd Feel Like a Millionaire).

McKINLEY MUSIC COMPANY
Additions Proving Popular With Deal-
ers—Attractive Publicity Aids Sales
The C. Arthur Fifer Music Co., Inc., Quincy,
111., has a number of songs in its standard catalog
which are having large sales at the present time.
The firm is spending much money in publicity
and some very original ideas in song exploitation
arc being inaugurated. Among the songs that
arc showing up well in this catalog is "Wonder-
'love." The firm has made the dealers through-
out the country a special thirty-day offer, and
the responses have been very gratifying accord-
ing to the officers of the company. In their
popular catalog, "When You're Lonely, So
Lonely" and "Sailing Down Manilla Bay," arc
both having big sales. Besides the publicity
given these two numbers, the firm has issued
artistic show cards and hangers that lend them-
selves readily for display by the dealers.
The C. Arthur Fifer Music Co. has inaugurated
a very large campaign in behalf of its songs in
both catalogs, and throughout the remaining
months of this season no time is to be lost by
the company in creating a demand for its songs.
THREE B. D. NICE & CO. SUCCESSES
B. D. Nice & Co., the New York publishers of
high-grade music, have several numbers that are
rot only proving popular with the bands and
orchestras, but are also programed extensively
by some of the leading vaudeville artists. In-
cluded in these are: "Tents of Arabs," "Wond-
'ring" and "Romance." In addition, Ted Lewis'
Jazz Band has recorded "Wond'ring" for the Co-
lumbia Graphophone Co., and Joseph Knecht and
his Waldorf-Astoria Orchestra lhave recorded
"Tents of Arabs" on both the Columbia and
OkeH records. Very recently "Tents of Arabs"
was one of the featured numbers on the musical
program at the Rialto Theatre, the orchestra of
which has an enviable reputation for rendering
works of the better sort.

FEATURING McKINLEY SONGS
ATTRACTIVE PUBLICITY CIRCULAR
Miss Bessie Miller, a young matron of Louis-
ville, Ky., is very prominent in theatricals in that
city, and has met with much success in several of
her productions. She holds an interest in several
theatres and stages and directs her musical pro-
ductions as well as other business matters per-
sonally. In addition Miss Miller is an accom-
plished pianist and vocal artist. At the present
time she is featuring several popular songs from
the McKinley Music Co. catalog. These include
"Oh Lady, Stop Rolling Your Eyes," "Weeping
Willow Lane" and "White Heather."
M. Witmark & Sons have recently forwarded
to the trade a picturesque little circular giving
publicity to Frederick W. Vanderpool's and Louis
Weslyn's "Ma Little Sun Flow'r, Good Night."
Both the words and music of this number have
been the cause of much favorable comment from
music Critics. The sales appear to be constant'y
ircrcas ; rg, and it has made itself a substantial ad-
dition to the VVitma k "Black and White Series."
NEW SONG BY J. A. ROBINSON
J. A. Robinson is the author and publisher of
a new march song, entitled "The United States
of the World." It is dedicated to the 27th Divis-

N. C, is also the author of a song called "Old
Hurrygraph."

This number in recent weeks has shown up well.
Harry Von Tilzer, head of the Harry Von
Tilzer Music Co., recently completed the score of
a new musical play, which it is understood will
be produced late this year.
TO PUBLISH MUSIC IN CHICAGO
It is reported that Edgar Van Alstyne, who has
been successfully writing for Jerome H. Remick
& Co. for many years, has resigned from that or-
ganization and will open up a publishing house
in Chicago, 111. He will have associated with him
Loyal Curtis, of Toledo, O.

& Fisher, Inc., has organized a new publishing
firm and has offices at 165 West 47th street, for
