'Tell the Last Rose of Summer Good-bye," the
First of Several Numbers Which Al. Pianta-
dosi, Inc., Will Issue
Andreas Dippcl's new musical comedy, "The
Love Mill," which for the past two weeks has
been playing some of the larger cities in the
vicinity of New York, opened an engagement
The first release of the series of new high-
class numbers (Edizione Classica), which are
being published by Al. Piantadosi, Inc., is now
ready. The number is entitled "Tell the Last
Rose of Summer Good-bye," and is being is-
sued with a three-colored title page on pebbled
paper. The firm will also shortly release Dave
Berg's latest song, "The Greatest Thing I Ever
Did" (Is Fall in Love With You). Professional
copies have already been issued of this song, and
it is being well received.
J. Witmark, of M. Witmark & Sons, recently
returned from a Western trip, where he found
conditions in the sheet music trade to be very
prosperous. Mr. Witmark also found the de-
mand for the Witmark publications to be good,
which allowed him to return with some very
large orders.- The concern's catalog was never
in a more flourishing condition than at present,
there being a large number of fast selling num-
bers in the standard as well as the popular cat-
alog.

Otto Motzan, the well-known composer, au-
thor of the ballad entitled "A Tear, a Kiss, a
Smile," and an instrumental number "Cutey,"
both of which are being favorably received, is
now working on the score for the next Winter
Garden show. The music for the new show
will be published by G. Schirmer, Inc. The two
numbers above mentioned are published by the
Karczag Publishing Co., Inc.
The title page of "She Came from Philadel-
phia," published by Will Carroll, Inc., Brooklyn,
X. Y., has a reproduced photo of Sophie Tucker,
the. well-known vaudeville star, who it is said
