REVIEW
MREVIDVflEARS
THAT the Jos. W. Stern & Co. song, "Pray
For the Lights to Go Out," is now announced
as the coon shout classic.
THAT the high-class department recently in-
augurated by Waterson, Berlin & Snyder has
already the appearance of a live organization.
THAT this is no doubt due to the number of
"live" songs which have been placed in the new
department.
THAT Maurice Richmond found out after his
six-week trip to the Pacific Coast that his ef-
ficient organization can do so well while he is
absent that he is taking another little trip, and
will not return till January 22.
THAT Jerome Keit, sales manager for J. H.
Remick & Co., has a half dozen real fast sellers
which have been recently added to the com-
pany's catalog.
THAT Wolfe Gilbert, professional manager for
Jos. W. Stern & Co., is certainly a lover of
work.
THAT outside of writing popular songs and
seeing they are sung by popular artists, and
playing at least two shows a day on the Loew
circuit, he has nothing to do till to-morrow.

"Canary Cottage," the Morosco musical show
with book, lyrics and music by Earl Carroll,
opened in Boston on January 8. The press
notices following the opening were all of a
favorable trend, and from the reception the
run of three weeks, for which the show is booked
in that city, should prove very successful. The
musical numbers were without exception ad-
mitted to be above the average.
