TREMENDOUS SENSATION
The undergraduates of Harvard University have
become quite peeved with the manner in' which
the pure English language is manhandled by popu-
lar song writers, and as a reprimand two of the
students, Samuel P. Sears and Robert Sherwood,
of the "Gold Coast," will assume the task of writ-
ing new and highly proper lyrics to the popular
songs for the benefit of their fellow students. The
first public demonstration of the remodeled songs
will take place in April, when the song writers of
Broadway will have a chance to observe how they
should do things.

OLD HARRIS SONG COMING BACK.
'Break the News to Mother," of Spanish War
Days, Again Proving Popular.
Chas. K. Harris has been particularly fortunate
with his "come back" songs and has a new num-
ber to add to his record. Frank Morrell, Sophie
Tucker and a number of other artists have been
singing "Break the News to Mother" with con-
siderable success, and numerous orders for the
song have been received from the trade. In view
of the fact that "Break the News to Mother" was
a popular hit in Spanish War days it's come back
eighteen years later is particularly interesting. A
large number of artists are also featuring the
