TWO LIVEJtEMICK HITS
The Remick song, "And They Called It
Dixieland," is getting across in great shape.
The acts report universal success, and say that
the catchy last line hits home everywhere. Also
the recently published "Kangaroo Hop" bids
fair to class up with "Underneath the Stars,"
both as a song and a dance number, particu-
larly the latter. It is a corking good number
for agitating the dance craze which refuses to
be subdued, despite all that is said about passing
fads.

Music for "Canary Cottage"
Earl Carroll, who some time ago made the
profession sit up by using a battery of banjos
and saxophones for some brand new ragtime
effects, has added to his record by introducing
into the new Morosco comedy, "Canary Cot-
tage," some syncopated music for the harp, thus
putting that ancient and honorable instrument
at the service of the ragtime artist.
The piece bears the title "The Syncopated
Irish Harp," and is published by Leo Feist, Inc.
MACFARLANE USING FEIST SONGS
