The following corporation has filed a certifi-
cate of incorporation at the office of the Secre-
tary of State: Eastern Cahill Telharmonic Co.

of dealing in inventions, with $3,000,000 capital
stock, of which nothing is paid in. The officers
are: President, Charles McH. Howard, of Balti-
more, Md.; treasurer, James E. Manter, of Port-

VISITED THE SMITH & BARNES FACTORY.

A recent visitor to the factory of the Smith &
Barnes Piano Co. was J. Olney, head of the 01-
rey Music Co., St. Joseph, Mo., who was accom-
panied by twelve of his leading men. Under the
guidance of Superintendent Charles H. Smith
they toured the great factory, and the methods

of manufacturing employed were explained to
them in a most interesting way. As the guests
of the Smith & Barnes Piano Co. the party was
entertained at an elaborate luncheon in the Sara-
toga Hotel, after which they enjoyed an auto-
mobile ride along the North Shore Drive Way.
The trip was one of rare enjoyment for all con-
cerned, and every one was most appreciative of
the kindness and courtesy of the Smith & Barnes
forces.
the Pittsburg Organ & Piano Co., have notified
the creditors that S. F. McComb has made an
offer of $50,000 for the entire assets of the com-
pany, which were appraised at $53,392.99. The
court has granted an order for creditors to show
cause why Mr. McComb's offer should not be
accepted. Order returnable September 1.
OPEN BRANCH IN BAYONNE.
The Lindeman & Sons Piano Co. have opened
a branch in Bayonne, N. J., for the purpose of
catering to the summer trade. S. Z. Marks, for-
merly of Des Moines, Iowa, is the manager.
