THE MUSIC TRADE REVIEW
tions have been on the "qui vive" for a good stir-
ring march from the pen of George Rosey, and
the Presidential election year makes the time
extremely opportune for a composition of this
character.
It is expected that this latest effort will be in
the hands of the foremost leaders and band mas-
ters long before the summer season opens, and
by the time of the election will have grown into
a march success of promise. The publishers
claim that "Fall in Line" is beyond a doubt one of
the strongest numbers they have received from
Mr. Rosey, and hope to make this as popular as
the other marches and waltzes that they have
published for this versatile writer.
RECENT MUSIC.
"We presume it is proposed to benefit the re-
ting in force the existing laws dealing with copy-
right musical publications. He has been ap- lations of deceased composers, since fees to the
pointed general agent and legal representative composers themselves are impossible."
for all English-speaking countries of the Incorpor-
ated Society of Composers, and all compositions
of composers belonging to this society, including
those of Richard Wagner, Johannes Brahms, and
Tschaikowsky, will have to pay a tribute to this
Society for the benefit of the composer, for every
performance of each composition, whether in toto

of the society. English composers and publishers
will, of course, in due time be invited to become
members, so that their compositions will be pro-
