THE MUSIC TRADE
ing quite wonderful, but the quantity of
goods manufactured and sold in the year
just ending will make the previous year
look very lean by comparison. Although
the demand is greatly in excess of the sup-
ply> the Columbia Company expects to fill
its orders, with reasonable promptness,
adding new buildings and more machinery,
from time to time, to its already enormous
plant, with the increase in the demand for
ils product which has been steady and
which has grown more and more rapidly,
year by year, the greatest increase having
been that of 1903 over 1902.

INTERESTED IN REGINA PLANS.
The Regina Music Box Co.'s chain of
agencies is being rapidly extended. Deal-
ers who, up to a short time ago, were
apathetic on the question of music box
representation, are now under the more fa-
vorable plans promulgated by the Regina
management, desirous of an opportunity
to share in the distribution. The comple-

HARMONICA
Enlarging Their Staff—A Valuable Acquisition-
Some Recent Importations.
In obedience to the demands- of their
growing business, Buegeleisen & Jacobson,
[6 E. 17th street, New York, have enlarged
their office force. The most important ad-
dition is the engagement of Eli Buegelei-
sen, nephew of the senior partner, who will
occupy the foreign correspondence and im-
portation desk. The young gentleman,
who has been connected with a prominent
banking house, is a graduate of the Uni-
versity of Pennsylvania, speaks fluently
and writes forcibly several European lan-
guages, and is altogether a splendid exam-
ple of the modern college man of brain
and brawn. He will take hold on the 19th,
and will doubtless prove a valuable acquisi-
tion to the staff of this hustling house.
A large invoice of Anton Bachman's
master violins came in last week, and
which represent eighteen different styles—
all of the different models and finishes—and
fine workmanship. The Durro violins con-
tinue to earn fresh laurels of commendation
and recently Prof. George Purely, leader of
the Broadway Theatre orchestra, purchased
one of these fine instruments.
Tuesday Mr. Jacobson packed his grip
and quietly slipped away to call on the
New England trade, more in the nature of
a social visit, he said, than looking for or-
ders. Dave tells it well, though the house
is up to its ears in shipments.
tion of the list of agents is now in active
progress. Those who are interested in the
latest phase of Regina work—sales on the
little payment plan—ought to investigate
promptly, if they have not already done so.
