THE MUSIC TFmDE
REVIEW
i.—This article has proven a great deal more economical in time as well as
material, than the old fashioned sand paper or pumice stone, for the reason, that
with these articles the work is tedious and oil and water make sandpaper clog,
while pumice scratches; besides, their unyielding nature require an enormous
waste of labor, especially when working in carvings or mouldings.
Frequently the fine surface of the wood is badly injured through sandpaper or
pumice.
a.—Schlegel's Steel Wool overcomes all these objections, as it never clogs, is
soft and pliable, very easy to handle and on account of the thorough uniformity
of its delicate threads never scratches.
For these reasons it adapts itself readily to all irregularities of carved work and
is of unsurpassed advantage.
3. - Steel Wool is twice as quick as sandpaper, makes a finer and smoother
s urface and is a great deal cheaper in use.
