CHAMBERS' MUSIC IN THE PHILIPPINES.
\Y. Paris Chambers who supplies "every-
thing in business," at 34 East Fourteenth
street, has built up an immense business
as a distributor of music for bands. He
has as his customers at the present time some
of the most distinguished organizations not
only in this country, but in all parts of the
world, reaching as far as the Philippines. At
all the military headquarters in that country,
in keeping with the good old Spanish cus-
tom, band concerts are given at the City
Plaza in the evenings. From two of the
many programs which have reached Mr.
Chambers, from the Philippines, we select the
following given bv the 26th Infantry Band,
which is under the capable condiictorship of
S. E. Wright, at Nueva Caceres, Camarines
Sur., P. I. The following, which was given
at the City Plaza, December 19th, consisted
of such familiar numbers as:—March, "Our
Senators," Chambers; selection, "Bunch of
Favorites," Beyer; serenade, "Love's Old
Sweet Song," Molloy; waltz, "Calanthe,"
i Inlzman ; Romance,"While Stars are Gleam-
ing," Pockham; Cakewalk, "Darktown After
Dark," Dresser; "Star-Spangled Banner."
