INRECEIVER-SHANDS.
[Special to The Review.]
Columbus, O., Dec. 10, 1901.
The Wolfram Guitar Co., of this city, has
gone into the hands of a receiver on the ap-
plication of the Merchants' and Manufactur-
ers' Bank, which holds a note for $2,000.
Geo. W. Early has been appointed receiver
and he refuses to give details until such time
as he has made an investigation of the af-
fairs of the company.
SOME WEBER NEWS.
R. A. Tusting, Weber agent at Asbury
Park, N. J., was a visitor this week at the
Weber headquarters.
An elegant example of the Weber baby
grand was shipped early in the week to the
home of ex-Governor Black, of this State.
The full force at the Weber factory find
enough work to keep busy day and night
during this lively Weber season.
. Geo. M. Woodford, Weber ambassador,
who has been somewhat seriously indisposed
as the result of a serious cold caught on his
Southern trip, is rapidly recovering.
SOHMER GRAND FOR HAWAII.
Heinrich Martons von Holt, Consul for
the Netherlands at Honolulu, H. I., has just
purchased a Sohmer baby grand, to be
shipped immediately to Hawaii. Several
other Sohmer baby grands are already com-
fortably and appropriately housed at the Ha-
waiian capital.

ORDERS FOR FOUR HUNDRED PIANOS.
Some idea of the pressure now being felt
among piano manufacturers may be gained
from the fact that on Tuesday a well-known
Harlem piano-making firm received a hurry
order for four hundred instruments, to be
delivered within two weeks.
BOOM IN ADVERTISING.
The advertising of the retail piano stores
has taken quite a spurt, as is evidenced from
a perusal of the advertising columns of the
local papers. Were the same energy dis-
played more uniformly throughout the year
it would be as effective as around the holi-
day period. But evidently a great many do
not seem to think so.
Edwin Milton Boothe, of the Milton Piano
Co., finds the latest Milton upright even more
popular than several of its predecessors, which
is saying a good deal.

WHY do you suppose some of the best buyers of the whole

Because ordinary
