The Hobart M. Cable Co. are in receipt
of many orders and communications anent
the Hobart M. Cable pianos, which are about
ready for the trade. No better proof of the
popularity of Hobart M. Cable, the head of
the institution, is necessary than the enthu-
siastic support and many kindly words
vouchsafed him on his new venture. The
Hobart M. Cable pianos promise to be pretty
active factors in the trade field this year.

The music dealers of Texas, without ex-
ception, report the best spring trade for the
past twenty years—since '83. Organs, pianos,
and all kinds of small goods are in active
demand, and general commercial conditions
predicate a continuance of this very satis-
factory state of things.

The Krell Piano Co., of Cincinnati, and
Chas. M. Stieff, of Baltimore, are among the
latest who are contemplating representation
at the Pan-American Exposition. C. G.
Conn will also have a handsome case of
band instruments on exhibition in a promi-
nent spot, not very far from the piano sec-
tion.
The Banner Year.
S. W. Rorke, superintendent of the Chick -
ering factory, was in town last week. He
reports active business at the factory in Bos-
ton, twenty grands and a total of between
sixty and eighty pianos a week being turned
out. The prospects now are that this will
be the banner year in the history of the d i c k -
ering house.
