THE MUSIC TRADE REVIEW
THE "SMALL GOODS" TRADE
C. G. Conn's Repair Department
There is a steady demand for the Men-
zenhauer-Schmidt products, even so soon
after the holidays. This is a healthy in-
dication and-looks well for results in igoo.

The Solophone Praised.
The portrait herewith is that of Miss

ly talented young artist who is connected
with the Kelly Lyceum Bureau of that
city, in their Elite Entertainments.
Her hearty recommendation, as given

higtuestimation in which this instrument is
held by the profession. In fact it may be

instruments. The importance of the Conn
repair branch can best be understood when
the magnitude of the firm's eastern trade
is realized. So large has this trade become
that there is now hardly a single band or
drum organization in any part of the
country without Conn representation among
its instruments.

turn they want every piano dealer to write
for a few sample scarfs on selection. Lyon

The health of Paul G. Mehlin, the hon-
ored head of Paul G. Mehlin & Sons, has
been much benefitted by his recent short
vacation in the upper part of New York
State. Mr. Mehlin took his gun along,
but owing to the mildness of the winter he
was not as successful as he would have
wished in the hunting field.

The Graphophone Advance.
The demand for talking machines is con-
stantly increasing. This the makers say,
is due to the great improvement in the
machines themselves as well as the lower-
ing of prices. The receipts, sales, and
profits of the American Graphophone Com-
pany during the month of December just
passed were by far the greatest in the his-
tory of the company.
