B. Lertz & Son, Baltimore, are carrying
some well constructed and dignified adver-
tisements relating to the Steinway piano in
the local papers which are worthy of high
commendation. The manner in which the
superior attributes of the Steinway prod-
ucts are brought to public attention serves
to dignify the industry as a whole as well
as reflect credit on the house whose name
is appended thereto.
A placard bearing the inscription "From
Alfred Dolge's Fruit Farm in California,"
tacked to a box of oranges was displayed
in a Dolgeville grocery last week.
R. C. Milligan, who recently opened up
in Columbus, O., is handling the Knabe as
leader. Last week we announced the
shipment of several carloads of Stultz
& Bauer pianos to this gentleman.

P. J. Gildemeester's trip to the Pacific
Coast has been most successful. He has
secured big orders right along the line.
During his stay in the far West he visited
his uncle at St. Andreas who is one of
California's legal luminaries.
The engagement is announced of Mr.
Jack Spies, of the Spies Piano Mfg. Co., and
Miss Kathryn Glaccum, a charming and ac-
complished young lady of this city. Mr.
Spies has a host of friends in the trade who
will extend congratulations.
Edward N. McKinney, receiver of the
Marshall & Wendell Pianoforte Mfg. Co.,
has been directed by the court to pay
$1,800 to certain general creditors.
The Wissner grand was played last even-
ing in recital in University Hall, Fine Arts'
Building, Chicago, by Mme. Julie Rive-
King.
